At a technical engineering firm, much of the accumulated knowledge lived in the heads of a handful of senior engineers and in thousands of documents that only they knew where to find. Every technical query went through those same people, and training a new technician took months.
We built a semantic search platform over the entire document archive: the team asks a question in natural language and the system returns the answer and the document backing it, with access control based on each user’s profile.
The company’s technical knowledge stopped being accessible only through a handful of people and became something anyone could look up directly from a single tool.
