The challenge
A music rights management entity settles royalties to its rights holders on fixed, contractually committed deadlines. As the catalogue and the number of international clients grow, the whole process — collecting usage data, identifying works, calculating what each rights holder is owed and invoicing it — becomes impossible to sustain with scattered tools. And one critical part, reporting the music performed at concerts and live shows, was still being done by hand in spreadsheets.
